Solchenberger (1922-2010) served in the Army from 1943 to 1946. He married Carol Bennett in 1942 and, after being widowed, married Edris Gomez in 1998. After the war, he worked for the Lake Wholesale Grocery Company in Beloit (Wisconsin) and the Adams Corporation.
